Laura speaks of her image in relation to the theme of HOME for the 2009 A Woman's Perspective Multimedia Art Exhibition:

"The drain pipe from the tub came apart, causing a leak which created a large hole in the dining room ceiling. Looking behind the panel in the spare room, I could see the pipes, the wall cavity and the gaping hole exposing the room below. It reminded me of something skeletal. The image weighed on my mind. I imagined a hallow body of plaster and lathe, with the plumbing forming the cadaverous frame. The drain was fixed, but now the faucet's leaking…"
